Librandi Outdoor Power is a full-service outdoor power equipment dealership located in Hayden, Idaho. We specialize in sales and service of outdoor power equipment for residential, commercial, and municipal customers.

With over 45 years of family ownership, the business has evolved through the years but our commitment to the community has never changed. Whether the sign on the building reads "American Mower & Saw," "Hayden Saw Sales," or "Librandi Outdoor Power," the same family and the same values have been behind the counter the entire time. Our History

In the mid 1980s, a man named Sam Librande started "Hayden Saw Sales" at our present location (9786 N. Government Way, Hayden, Idaho). In 1999, Sam decided to retire, and in 2008 he unfortunately passed away, leaving a great void in the lives of many who got to know him.

One of his sons, John Librande, took over the business shortly after, changed the name to "American Mower & Saw," and proceeded to run the business for 18 years. In 2026, John retired and sold the business to focus on authoring and writing books and to enjoy his golden retirement years.

His younger brother, Jim Librande, purchased the business with plans to expand the building, service and sell more commercial outdoor power equipment brands such as SCAG, and increase the showroom size and the inventory of new power equipment kept in stock -- all while providing the quality customer service that customers have come to expect out of the trusted Librande name.

We are still a family business that believes in quality work and customer service at fair prices. The service technicians at Librandi Outdoor Power attend service and sales schools every year, and complete many online training programs to stay up to date with new products and equipment.

Meet the Owner

Jim Librande is the Owner of Librandi Outdoor Power. He runs the shop in Hayden, Idaho alongside a factory-trained service team that handles everything from blade sharpening to complete engine rebuilds. If you have a question about whether a repair is worth doing, what brand fits your application, or how to get the most life out of the equipment you already own, Jim is the person to talk to.

The shop has been family-owned and based in Kootenai County for decades, and that long-standing presence is the reason customers keep coming back. Jim and the team know the brands we carry inside and out -- not from a sales script, but from years of opening up the same engines, sourcing the same parts, and walking the same customers through their service histories.
